Late night dinner with friends and frequent customers. We were given a treat for returning.
Walking in the restaurant has a cozy feel to it. Not to loud. We did end up sitting outside. So if you didn't make a reservation you WILL have to give them your ID for patio seating. Which wasn't a problem for us. They have high chairs too if you want to bring your little one like I did. I was in the mood for some sushi and this place really hit the spot, Everything was delicious.
This was so bust and service was good I do recommend this place it was a 10 of 10 will be coming back when I get my money up!!!!
From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The sushi here is next-level. The fish is unbelievably fresh, and every roll we tried was expertly crafted. The spicy tuna roll had just the right amount of heat. You can tell they really focus on quality ingredients.
This is a place to go if you like sushi and want a great atmosphere for date night. The service is always great and the food is superb. If you are in the Rosedale area they have another on Calloway I do believe. The food and service is great there too.
The lunch special was truly a great value. We got the two rolls and a salad. We did add an extra miso but the price was perfect. This was hands down the best sushi I ever had. It was super fresh and did not leave a filmy taste in my mouth. The server was wonderful and actually recommended the lunch special. Noami was such a wonderful server she was super delightful. This is definitely going to be my sushi spot from now on.
There is a parking garage 1/2 block south. It is on the corner of Eye & 19th street. Lots of seating both inside and outside. I was seated quickly and my waitress came over right away to take my drink order. I started with the garlic edamame and the mixed veggie and shrimp tempura. Loved the big chunks of garlic in the edamame. The coating on the tempura is a bit thick for my taste, though a good variety. They have a fairly extensive menu, which was nice. I then ordered two rolls, the rainbow roll and the Pinky Funky. Both were loaded with fish. The sauce on the Pinky is really good. More of that please. I will definitely contribute back.
